Em (Emily) Turner MA, AMFT

Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist

I view psychotherapy as a space for inquiry—a way of listening to what’s most alive, conflicted, or hidden within experience. My orientation is psychoanalytic and relational, with attention to how unconscious life, language, and our inner landscape shape our sense of self.

In our work together, I’m interested in unearthing how unconscious patterns influence your relationships, your creative life, and the ways you move through the world. Therapy offers a space to slow down and make meaning of the difficulties, repetitions, and impasses that bring you here—whether that involves depression, anxiety, relationship struggles, creative or professional stagnation, major life transitions, or a desire to understand yourself more deeply.

I work with adults, children, couples, and relational constellations of all kinds. I am especially drawn to working with academics and creatives, LGBTQIA+ individuals and families, parents and queer parents, as well as people living away from home or navigating the complexities of belonging, identity, and cultural transition.

If you’re drawn to exploring yourself through conversation and reflection, and want a therapist who values depth, complexity, and authentic engagement paired with moments of humor along the way, I welcome you to reach out. I offer a free 15-minute phone or Zoom consultation to see if we might be a good fit.

Isabella Alsobrook MA, AMFT

Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist

You might be experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, relationship issues, or questioning your future. In therapy, I will help you develop a more flexible, self-determined, and compassionate understanding of yourself. Together, we'll explore your patterns and break down rigid, inherited scripts about how your life should look. My approach is deep. I focus on the relationship between the client and therapist as the first stage of change. I offer a non-judgmental space where we'll build new understandings by connecting your past to your present and your dreams to your reality. Through exploring your unconscious mind, we’ll build self-understanding and self-acceptance.

With curiosity, warmth, direct feedback, and a sense of humor, we will scaffold new thoughts and feelings to address the root of your challenges. You aren’t a problem to be solved and you deserve to be understood. I look forward to getting to know your story and seeing what we can create together.

Many of us feel stuck in patterns that no longer serve us, longing for healing and transformation to reconnect with our most authentic self. Through a depth-oriented approach, I guide you in exploring the unconscious dynamics at play in your life. By bringing these patterns into awareness, we can create meaningful changes that reflect who you truly are.

I work with adults, teens, and couples, offering a supportive space for collaboration and growth. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, or life transitions, I’m here to help you work through these challenges with compassion and a personalized approach. As an LGBTQ+ affirmative therapist, I offer an inclusive space where your unique identity is respected and valued. My goal is to help you explore new perspectives, heal from past wounds, and cultivate a life that feels more connected and aligned with who you truly are.
